William's Story
I atternded Yakima Valley College from Fall, 1968 through Fall, 1969. I finished my Associate of Arts from Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Spring term, 1970. I attended OSU from Fall, 1970 to Summer, 1972 and graduated with a BS in History. I returned to EOSC in La Grande, winter term, 1974 and earned my basic teaching certificate while doing graduate work.
I taught elementary school, (6-8) for a year and (5-8) for two years. First at Cottrell Elementary from 1975-76, I taught Social Studies. Jean Lundy was the principal. I next taught at Wasco Grade S...Expand for more
chool, 1976-78, Social Studies. I taught at Hood River Junior High/ Middle School for 27 years-1978-2005 and retired in June, 2005. All of the schools that I taught at were in Oregon.
I still have a Standard Teaching Certificate, it will expire on Oct. 18, 2014.
My brothers-Greg, Rob and myself own a small wheat ranch in Sherman County, Oregon, near Wasco.
My wife Kathy and I live about 15 miles South of Hood River, Oregon towards Mt. Hood.
Kathy is an RN and works at Mid Columbia Medical Center as a nurse in endoscopy in The Dalles, Oregon. Bill
