William's Story
I attended Michigan State from 1970-74, earning a BA in philosophy. I earned a JD from the Ohio State University College of law in 1977 where I met my wife Kay. We took the Michigan bar exam and got married in the summer of 1977. I practiced in the same Saginaw law firm for 28 years focusing on negligence/civil liability law on behalf of injured plaintiffs. I am semi-retired but still practice part time, handling child welfare cases in the Saginaw County Family Court and the Michigan Court of Appeals. I am also a CASA volunteer advocating for children in the Family Court.
We have two children, Scott, with a degree in computer science, and Kelly who is a social worker in Chicago.
In my spare time I enjoy reading history and biographies, traveling when we can, and riding my bike.
