William's Story
One year after graduation I joint the US Navy, the draft was still in affect at the time so that kind of help my decision. I gave uncle sam 25 years. For the most part I'd enjoyed it, I got to travel and live in many places, Guam, Alaska and even the land down under Australia. d until a little lady call Katrina came down to visit the gulf states and became the equal opportunity destoryer. If you live within 3 mile of the coast (that encluded me) you were a victim. But this make the spirit of the south strong and forged new friendship. Each time I travel back to LA it seem that someone I grow up with has left us. But I'm happy in the south and don't miss the traffic.
