It has been a long and interesting trip since WHS but have decided on the same story previously entered but briefer... I do remember Wantagh fondly and the terrific times growing up with great people. The soccer team and the track team adventures and HS friends....loved my classmates,first and second loves of my life, the teachers, Jones Beach, soccer for Joe Levorcheck and with Evans, Gilmore, Degan(s), Mooney, Olson, Bellis, Eich...track for Mike Byrnes and with Tumey, Holbrook, Cressi, LaMoglia, Bellis, Gers, Donato, Sherinski, Konitzer, Long, Kelly...all remembered, not forgotten; the great thing about memories - it's inexpensive to travel down memory lane! Left in WHS '68 to get an education (BA & MS)and play soccer at Indiana University; loved the campus, friends, education and playing soccer for the best program in the US (still) and for the premier college coach in the US (7 National Championships); lucky enough to be captain, MVP, and East-West Senior team, played 'til I was 35 y.o. - D.C., Maryland, Indiana area; Was asst. soccer coach at IU then college faculty and head soccer and ...Expand for more
