William's Story
What is there to say after 35 years post high school. I went off to college and didn't finish, but instead went to Phoenix where I worked for the AZ Department of Corrections. After 5 years, I returned to school and finished my degree at the University of Arizona. I then went to work for Pima County as a probation officer. After 5 years at that position, I again returned to school and finished a masters degree in Social Work from New Mexico State University. During my school time I married my first wife Julie. After graduating from New Mexico State, I moved to Sierra Vista, AZ and began working in the mental health field. I began as a crisis evaluator/counselor, then promoted to a program director. I resigned this position to enter into the hospital system as a medical social worker. I then went back into mental health as a counselor and back again into medical social work...Expand for more
. I finally ended up a the director of social services with a large nursing home. This ended about a year ago, when I was accepted into the University of Arizona's Executive MBA program. It is a 14 month long program geared towards working executives. I have a few months to go, and I will have an MBA at that time. Oh, I went to work for UnitedHealthcare, the insurance company where I hold the position of Discharge Coordinator. I assist hospitals around the State of Arizona in finding appropriate discharges for members. As I said earlier, I was married to my first wife Julie and this ended in divorce during the year 2000. I met a wonderful woman in 2002 and we married in 2005. We are both happy and neither of us has children. We do have three dogs. We currently live in Tucson, AZ where we own a home. I do have a motorcycle which we both love to take out on weekend drives.
