William's Story
Life
Left Charleston for Syracuse NY in June 1962. Left Syracuse in '64, moved with parents to Minn. '65 joined USAF for 20years:Tex./Miss./France/Germany/Tex./Korea/N.Mex
./Germany/Ariz./Italy. Retired in '85 as Master Sgt.(E7). Married a French girl in'69. Divorced in Az. in'78. Last 6 years in USAF in Italy, retired there, stayed another 14 years, taught English (private lessons). Got a BA in '78 while in Az., did some graduate work...Expand for more
with Boston U. in Italy. Developed arthritis in '83, then diabetes, then heart attack in Italy in '99. Now 100% disabled with arthritis + 100% disabled with heart problems, health generally sucks. After 20 years in Italy moved to southern France in '99 after heart attack to live near my son and step-son, ex lives in northern France. In Nov. 02 moved back to the family homestead in Alany, NY for health reasons. (VA hospital in Albany.)
