William's Story
Can't believe that I received my first Social Security check. Time passes since I graduated form State University In Albany in 1972 followed by MBA from New York University. Worked for LF Rothschild on Wall Street followed by a Partnership at Bear Stearns on Wall Street. Married in 78, and still married, Two boys, Stephen and Adam and two little men, Benny and Jacob, 4 and 1. We live in Naples, Florida and Dix Hills, NY,
When I look back I am surprised at how much I did and accomplished. More than I ever expected but not more then I desired. Employed thousands of people; accomplished many public financial offerings; acted as advisor to some of the named corporate entities in the US; and now have the unique position to share the wisdom and mentor my two boys so they can enjoy the same success and hopefully mentor their children.

It feels like if I had the ability to rewind the clock I would retrace and redo many things but that is not how the game is played. No freebies. No free throws from the foul line.
When I think back about Herrick's I say that I had to work harder at this school than I did at College. It was a tough place with generally excellent teachers although in retrospect I would change the curriculum if it were up to me. I am sure they have since then frankly.
I sometimes wonder how many of our classmates have left us for the next world. I am astonished and saddened when I hear of one of our classmates passing. Certainly demonstrates our mortality and makes us stop to think. Hope all of your Highlanders are in good spirits and enjoying whatever you are doing.
