My current age is 66. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be decrepit. I was so completely right.
Oldest friend is Glenn. We met in high school, think it was because we were both backstage technicians. My first job was at Colonialtown service center, where I got paid $1.00 per hour to install car tires and build Schwin bicycles. What I remember most about it is building and delivering 700 bicycles one christmas (1962).
Getting hit by a car and breaking my leg, and getting bit by that rattlesnake. Also Alan Sheppard's blastoff from the Cape. Watched liftoff on tv, then got on my crutches and went outside to watch him go downrange (May 5th, 1961)
I always wanted to be a pilot when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were pleased with my career in Flight Simulators instead.
