Life I retired as a fourth grade teacher in San Bernardino City Unified School District in August of 2007. Prior to that, I also taught first grade, and middle school math. Middle school was like a combat zone, but I absolutely loved working with elementary students. It took awhile to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up, but I finally made it. I had the world's best job! I was listed in the 2005, 2006, and 2007 editions of Who's Who Among America's Teachers. This was a special privilege for me because I was nominated by former students who are honor high school students now. They had to select one teacher from their entire educational career and nominated me. What an honor! I keep telling people it wasn't about the money. I am blessed. If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to various charities, then spend the rest on family , loved ones and buy a bigger home with my own wood sho...Expand for more
