William's Story
William is from Foxborough, Massachusetts. Bill graduated from Foxboro High School in 1961. He later graduated from Bentley University with honors and subsequently from General Electric Company's post graduate Financial Management Program.
Bill fulfilled both of his high school yearbook wishes and became a CPA (Silver Medal for second highest score in the state on the examination) and started his own business, Gately & Associates, P. C. Bill spent many years with a large, international CPA firm and started his CPA and consulting practice in Wellesley, MA in 1979. Bill lives in Venice, Florida and Bass River, MA with his wife, Noreen. They have 5 children, and 7 grandchildren. Bill is a compulsive sailboat racer, very active in a leadership role at the Venice Yacht Club and actively campaigns his sailboat, S. V. Fruition, in Venice, Sarasota and Tampa Bay and most recently in the Caribbean 1500 race to Tortola, BVI, the Regata Del Sol al Sol race from St. Peterburg Yacht Club to Isla Mujeres, Mexico, and last year to Havana in the St. Petersburg Yacht Club Habana Race.
Bill and Noreen are residents of Florida and spend summers on Cape Cod. They love to travel internationally and locally to visit the grandchildren.
Retired (more or less), now very loud, fat, but not dumb and living the dream!
