William Alan's Story

Please send an email to glucks at usa dot net... glucks at usa dot net.... LISA DESPERATELY NEEDS A KIDNEY This is the Profile for William Alan Gluck ( not Lisa Brumfield Gluck) William Alan Gluck Attended C.U. in Boulder AND the school of hard knocks. AT C.U., did lots of skiing, and it certainly was a party school, but I quit the party scene pretty quickly. Moved out of Colorado the same year my older brother moved there (co-incidence? or did he wait til I left?). I started a mobile home business and at one point in time owned a couple trailer parks and over 100 trailers (ooooppps, I mean mobile homes), before most of them were re-possessed. Had to sell the trailer parks to pay off the debts. Since then have had quite a few different business and jobs. Some interesting ones included working at a cemetery, a very lucrative computer parts biz, which enabled us to buy a beach home, and recently worked at finding seniors retirement homes before my current job as a manager for the Rescue Mission Alliance. Funny, lived a few miles from John/Lynn Tobias for years, and we didn't know it. Currently have 2 labs and they have a great life; they walk the beach every day, come back and lay on our bed overlooking the ocean, eat a raw meat and veggie diet my wife, Lisa, prepares for them everyday. Our neighbor says when he comes back, he wants to come back as one of our dogs. We're lucky to have traveled some, including a trip to Israel, allowing us to visit the holy land that is the most important aspect of who we are, which includes our faith in Jesus Christ. Please Look up " mychrisitanidentity " on the internet No one knew when we were growing up that we are Jewish (now a Jewish believer). In fact I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT. My dad kept it a huge family secret. Both my Parents died in July, 1984, at age 59, one week apart, from 2 different kinds of cancer. I was devastated, and this drastically changed my life, more so than anything. After that, I quit my job, got divorced, tried being a beach and ski bum for a few years, took up gambling (was gambling more in an hour than most people make in a year), and eventually became so depressed, that I didn't want to live anymore. The good news, it led to my salvation, and Faith. Would love to catch up with you all, because for me, high school wa...Expand for more
s a great time of life, and only the good memories remain. Funny, I picture some of the "clicks" we had at school almost like some pictured in movies (greasers, the "in-crowd" of girls that some wanted to be a part of, the "jocks", the talented ones doing the plays, the brains like David Olson. I felt fortunate to have so many wonderful friends that I left school feeling pretty good about myself, perhaps even thinking of myself better than I really was. However, deep down inside, I was very insecure. Never living up to how well my brothers did. Mike was one of the best in the Nation in wrestling and I "ONLY" finished 3rd in state. Can you imagine, feeling "ashamed" at 3rd place. I used to tell people I won state just to make myself feel better. Fred graduated number one in his class, and I don't think I was even in the top 10 or 15 (I don't even remember where I was now). Plus, there were all those "secrets" about who we "really" were as a teenager. So now, when I introduce myself to a group of people I tell the story, I used to wrestle, placed in the State Tournament and went on to go to the 1984 Olympics... After the impression sinks in and people seem instantly impressed, I quickly follow up with "yeah, I watched them in LA", and it usually gets a laugh... Anyway, I look forward to catching up with everyone as now you know some of "rest" of my story (but the real "rest" is in the "rest" I have in Jesus Christ !!! For most of my life, before coming to know who I really am, I guess I lived up to what used to be on my report card every year... Bill is not living up to his ability, and guess what, I never did, they were right. I wonder if my life would have been different if my report card would have said, "Bill is going to live up to his ability and achieve great things", maybe I would have believed that instead. As it is, I'm now doing great things, I spend my time helping people know who they are in Christ: Look up " mychrisitanidentity " on the internet BTW, I started using my middle name when I was in sales, when I worked a place that had too man "Bill's" there. Funny, because my next job, my Executive Assistant was named Alan, and that was even more confusing... lol. May you experience ALL the Blessings God has promised us... God Bless you all, Bill William "ALAN" Gluck
