WOw! What a ride. After quitting NA High I started working as a copy boy for the Newark Evening News (A fantastic story on its own). I attended Central High School, in Newark at night. In 1958 I joined the USAF and met my wife and married in 1959. My wife Janet was an Air Force nurse and a lieutenant stationed with me at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas. I graduated from Merced College in Merced, California with a degree in Business Administration. In 1964 Jan and I had our first and only child,Patrick. Patrick has a Masters Degree in Education and is a teacher at a school close to our home. He encouraged me to go back to school. I received my teaching credentials and taught grade school for a few years. I retired from the USAF in 1978 as a Hospital Medical Resource Manager. My career field was frozen for many years and promotions were diffficult....Expand for more
