m clean and sober over 44 years and my ministry is focused on helping people make the first step. In my ministry I share the concept of Random Acts of Kindness regardless of your religious beliefs or non-beliefs. Rather than quoting religious passages I promote the concept of the three ING’s be Caring, Giving and Forgiving. I try to be nice to a stranger at least once per day. I tell them they have received a Random Act of Kindness they all smile and want to pass it forward. Think how much better the world would be if everyone took a moment each day to help bring a smile or laugh to a random stranger. It can be as simple as telling and aging veteran "Thank you for your Service." one of my favorites, opening a door, letting someone go ahead of you in the line at the grocery store. It only takes a small act of kindness to brighten someone’s day.
