William's Story
Life
Well, what can one say, life is a journey and it has taken me to many places -- physical and emotional. I lived out one of my childhood dreams of traveling to different places around the world -- working and living in England, France and the Middle East. Four times, through the windows of the Concorde, traveling at 1,800 miles per hour at 59,000 ft., I have seen the crest of the earth and the darkness of space. ild. My greatest happening, however, was the birth of my two sons, now both grown. Being a dad and caring for them was and is a true blessing.
I now teach from time to time at Catholic schools and this year will celebrate my 15th year as an ordained deacon. I lost my dad in 1982 and my mom in 1990, truly a difficult time.
What is clear is that I will never forget my time at SMMS, at Farrell, Manhattan and Fordham. I met lifelong friends at all of these places of learning and I cherish those friendships.
