William's Story
Graduated from U of M. Took a freighter to Europe. Traveled and worked for a year - Israel and western Europe - then took another freighter back to Canada. Hitch-hiked around U.S. before returning to MN.
After short stay in MN, left for Mexico and for the first of 22 trips over 30 years throughout Latin America. I engaged in off-road travel, essay writing, studying local political and human rights issues, and savoring life in remote villages.
Picked up a bit more of a formal education, moved to Colorado where I taught at a community college and then at four year colleges and universities.

ecoming increasingly frustrated with declining standards. I returned to teaching part time in 2000.
I was a hospice volunteer for twelve years providing direct care to patients and working with their families.
I now am actively involved in rescuing abused and abandoned dogs, rehabilitating them before readying them for a forever home. I take into my home mainly very sick and/or emotionally disturbed dogs requiring long-term care, working with two rescue groups. Along with my three critters, I generally have four to six foster dogs.
I also am actively involved in low-water [xeric] landscaping.
I follow national and international politics and now define myself as libertarian-conservative.
