Life 1967 to 1968 US Merchant Marines on the great lakes 15 April 1967 on the SS Hennipen and then in January 1968 on the SS Richwood around the world left out of Seattle, Washington, and then spent 22 days in Hawaii, next stop was Guam, then on to Cebu, in the Philippines, from there we went to Madras, India and unloaded our ship our next stop was Port Louis, Mauritius, we were there three days then lift for Cape Town, South Africa Left there about 10 June brook down in the middle of the Atlantic so it took us one month to get to Port Arthur, Texas, so that was a nice trip around the World by way of long path. 9/68 to 9/74 US Army, boot camp Fort Knox C-19-5, AIT Fort Leonard Wood Field wire communication. Then to Germany February 1969 15th. MP BDE in Frankfurt helped them move to Kaiserslautern. Reenlisted for photography in June of 1969 and got moved to the 69th.Sig Photo in Kaiserslautern in March of 1970 I got orders to go to Viet Nam and was sent to the 221st Signal Pictorial was sent back to the US in June of 1971, and did a little time at Fort Jackson, Sc.
