Larry's Story
Since high school, I've attended the University of Chicago. I'm a published author of six books and numerous articles in the fields of Education and African-American studies. I've served on â he Board of Directors of the Association for the Study of Classical African Civilizations. Along the way I've been a curriculum consultant for the Atlanta Public Schools
in African-American studies. Travel has led me to Egypt examining the legacy of our ancestors. On that trip I coordinated our overland transportation to the various historical sites and was a tour guide.

rd III, John Henrik Clarke, Ivan Van Sertima, Jacob H. Carruthers, Cheikh Anta Diop, etc. My research work has led me also to South America in particular Brazil.
I plan to journey to Cuba and Ghana in 2012. Along with writing, public speaking I also have acquired the skill of being a conference coordinator and a photojournalist. I can trace back these interests to my years back at Archer. When you hear or run across the names Larry Obadele Williams or Baba Obadele Williams, that's me. I was given the name Obadele by an edler as a badge of honor for my work. ""Baba" is kiswahili meaning fahter. Its great to be honored in your own community for your love and commitment to your people.
