Willie Cain:  

Left Williston in 1964 to enter the U.S. Army and in 1965 I was a an Airborne Paratrooper with the 173rd Airborne Brigade inVietnam. October 1965 I was severely and evacuated to Hiawaii and then to Walter Reed Hospital in Washigton DC. I remain hospitalized for almost a year. From there I was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft Bragg, NC. I ended up doing a couple of tours overseas and finally in the Gulf War. Highly decorated I retired from the U.S. A rmy you in 1991 at the rank of Command Sergeant Major, the highest enlisted rank that can be obtained. In January 1992 I became a PoliceOfficer with the Fayetteville a Police Department where I worked as a Patrol and a Field Training Officer for years . I then became a NC State Certified police Instructor, Firearms Instructor, Physical Fitness Instructor, SWAT Instructor and many other Instructor certifications.
