Dubbs Biography
Willie Jones, better known on the streets and in the entertainment industry as ÂDubbs, grew up in drug -infested Washington Heights, a community of NYC, which lies between Harlem and the Bronx.
Flagged the drug capitol of NYC, Washington Heights was a breeding ground for young hustlers, which made it not only easy, but enticing for Dubbs to enter the game at the tender age of 13. Driven by money and status, Dubbs continued life in the fast lane therefore gaining monetary satisfaction and all the luxury lagniappe.
Hungry for new success, Dubbs confidently entered the music industry partnering with Priority Records A&R Rep. Casual -T and producer Charlie B and invested in Relentless Entertainment.
Shortly after, Relentless Entertainment got its first record deal. Relentless EntertainmentÂs artist ÂShort Khop signed with Ice CubeÂs Independent Label Heavy Weight Records. Aiming for more success, Dubbs signed ÂYoungstown, a boy band from Ohio. This gained Relentless Entertainment their second major deal. ÂYoungstown signed with Hollywood Records, and the group earned a gold record for writing the theme song for the movie Inspector Gadget.
Business changes occurred, leaving Dubbs and Casual Tee to form New Time Entertainment. Under this new umbrella, Dubbs continued to scout new talent, which he found when he discovered Schaffer Smith, a talented performer known today in the music world as Neyo. Dubbs signed Schaffer to New Time and worked with him to help develop his talent as a writer and performer. Dubbs created the image and marketing plan for Schaffer to be the artist he is today.
In addition, Dubbs signed Big Dee Evans, the genius producer behind Tupacs first three albums. His praised productions include the hits ÂBrendaÂs Got a Baby, ÂWhen My Hommies Call, and ÂThatÂs Just the Way It Is.Â

Poli Paul produced Black Eyed Peas 1st hit ÂJoints and Jams, Christina MillianÂs ÂDip it Low, and he worked with other top notch artists including Backstreet Boys, Chingy, Eminem and Nivea. Together they worked hard to get Schaffer (Neyo) a recording deal with Columbia records, which fell through because of a political confrontation between one of the Chairmen and head VPÂs of the Urban Music Department at the time. The setback for the deal was disappointing, but Neyo still went on to write hit songs including MarioÂs ÂLet me Love You and Marques HoustonÂs ÂThat GirlÂ, just to name a few.
More business changes erupted, causing Dubbs and Poli Paul to form Bridge Kid Entertainment.
Shortly thereafter, Dubbs signed Teedra Moses, who quickly inked a deal with TVT records, which is still a current deal.
