Life After graduating from High School, I continued to work for seven years. I decided to attend Dillard University in the Fall of 1986. I pledged Alpha Phi Alpha the following Fall semester. After pledging, I decided to be the best I can be by joining ROTC. I finished my college career with a Commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Transportaion Corps of the Army Reserve and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in May of 1991. In September of 1991, I left for Fort Eustis, Va. to attend my Officer's Basic Course at the Transprotation School. I graduated from Transportation School in January of 1992. I returned to New Orleans and began working in the Orleans Parish School System as a Substitute Teacher for the remainder of that school year (I thank my line brother Dorian Rawles for speaking on my behalf to the Principal of Samuel J. Peters Middle School). Additional schooling was of course required in order for me to become certified to teach. I attended the University of New Orleans where I recieved my Certification in Special Education Mild Moderate K-12.
