Willie Rayfield's Story
Life
I have been retired from the FAA for 2 years now. I spent 42 years as an Air Traffic Specialist and Automation Supervisor. I reside in Riverdale, Georgia with my wife of 39 years Carolyn Devonne, formerly of Lynchburg, South Carolina. I have five children and 9 grandchildren.
I AM THE PASTOR OF BEREAN BAPTIST CHURCH,LOVEJOY, GEORGIA.
I grew up in Marion, SC (the Spring Branch Community). I have retired from the FAA and now work for Lockheed Martin as an Air Traffic Specialist.
School
While at Johnakin I played on the football team and was on the Student Council. I remember the long trip daily from Spring Branch to Marion on my cousin, James Thomas',bus. I was the only male in my typing class. At the risk of sounding like a braggart, I graduated as the VAL of the class of 1962. Mr. James Blake and Mrs. Rosa Towe inspired me most of all my teachers. Also I want to give props to Mrs. Dawn Gerald and Ms Minnie Lecarol Ford. Coach Armstrong played a great part in my maturing and called me Nebuchanezzard.
College
I attended SCSC, class of 1970, I later attended IU on a special grant from the FAA. After becoming a minister I attended International Seminary.
While at SCSC I was the mana...Expand for more

I always wanted to be a Doctor when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
My current age is 66. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old!!!!!!. I was so completely wrong.
In 10 years, I hope to be still living. I'm going to get there by exercise, eating right, and living right.
My first job was at lumber yard, where I got paid $1 ph to unload railroad cars. What I remember most about it is hard work!!!!!!.
Growing up on my grandfather's farm in Spring Branch, SC and the Love expressed by my parents and foreparents.
