Wilma's Story
Life
Life has been a rollercoaster ride, but I treasure the fun & happy moments. My children are all grown, all three have graduated Tennyson, as well! My daughters are close by, and my son is now an army airborne soldier, stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas. My grandson just turned one in July '07, what a cutie! I met my soulmate, David, at the Alameda County Fair in 2002. We eloped in 2003 and now I have three step-children, as well. My youngest sis & best friend, Grace, is now in LA and I enjoy when she's visiting. I have a niece and three nephews from my other sister...she's another story that I don't care to elaborate.
Immature, disrespectful, obnoxiously rude, raging bullies are easily dismissed...even when they happen to be family! I love to be around friends and family who are cheerful and easy-going.
As always, I enjoy the outdoors and the adventures of exploring through hikes, biking, and camping. My favorite is riding a motorcycle along the coast highway and through winding mountain roads. Bungee jumping is still a big thrill for me, as well as kayaking. I love having my family around, surrounding myself with more books than I have room for, working in my garden, love tools because I'm my own handywoman, enjoy watching Animal Planet & The Discovery Channel, and I adore the company of my pets. rie is not as exotic as it was in the 90's, when I had boas, pythons and iguanas. Now it's just my two adopted cats, Tarzan & Kiana, my two lovebirds, Rain & Midori, my Costa Rican tiger-rump tarantula, Flame, and a ten gallon tank of small tropical fish.
I was a letter carrier in Menlo Park for ten years, then customer service rep/ shuttle driver at Summerfield Suites Hotel - San Bruno, moved onto the opening of another hotel in Pleasanton, where I spent a year in sales & marketing. I enjoyed helping the guests more, so I became Director of Guest Services. That was five great years in the hotel business. I then spent a couple of years as a customer service manager for a local company that sold builders bathware and hardware.
Now I'm taking a break from it all and spending more time as an advocate for a better planet, writing letters to our government officials for Greenpeace, the World Wildlife Foundation, and the Humane Society of the US.

I'd love to hear from old friends, and I can't wait to hear when the Class of 1985 will be having a reunion.
