Wilma's Story

My memories of high school are some what painful. I look in my year book and even some of the things signed in it were cruel. I had wonderful parents who when I came home from school were very supportive of me and kept my ego sustained. I was definitely not in the popular crowd. I was not a scholar. I was in to sports but sports for girls/women was not promoted in the late 60's and 70's. I joined the LDS church when I was a junior and met a young man from SMW through the church and ended up marrying him after he came back from a mission in Brazil. ave 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls and 7 grandchildren with one on the way. I found happinest with my family and my career. I am an registered nurse and for the last 21 years have devoted myself to hospice. I have been a hospice nurse, patient manager, administrator, and for the last several years I have been traveling being a Regional Compliance Director making sure the hospice offices for the company I work for follow the regulatory requirements. I am hoping through this site that I will find those people who remember me as a good, decent person as that was the example that I hoped to give people when I was in high school.
