Wilson's Story
After graduation i spent some time trying to get into the Army. While that was going on i reactivated the family's Big Game Guiding Business. Once the Business hit a certain level of success i wandered off into the Tribal/ Corporate world and spent quite a bit of time in the executive suites. Having served as CEO and President of a Corporation i switched fields in 1993 and got into the Health Arena. I serve currently as Executive Vice President of a Title V Compact Tribal Consortium that delivers Health Service in the rural Communities in the homelands. olunteer for the draft on my 18th birthday several months after graduating from West High in 1968. Due to the backlog of inductees i was not given a physical until fall of 1969, which i promptly failed due to Tinnitus. My status was 1 Y which i appealed and in 1973 was given a final status of 4 F
I have been fortunate in many ways one of which always being employed and always having a hand in major policy initiatives through out the state these past decades. The one foray outside of the Tribal/ANCSA/State/Federal arena was in 1989/1992 when i spent time in Valdez as Oil Spill Superintendent. Most fun job i ever had.
