Winnie's Story
Winnie is from Johns Island, South Carolina. She is separated. Her schools include Sea Island Academy. She later attended Winthrop College and Trident Tech (Palmer Campus) (Winthrop College - Art and General Studies, Trident Technical College - Medical Secretarial Sciences). She works(ed) at Retired, Nationwide Insurance, Office Agent, Charleston Naval Base and Shipyard.

More about Winnie:"I grew up on John's Island, SC and went to Sea Island Academy where I graduated in 1977. I went to Winthop College...Expand for more
for 1 year and then to Trident Tech for Medical Secretarial Sciences. I started work at the Chas Naval Shipyard and then transferred to the Naval Supply Center on the Naval Base in North Charleston. I met my husband while working at the Shipyard and we got married in 1986. We moved in with my grandmother (Winnie Hay) on Johns Island, SC and cared for her until her death in 1991. In 1992 I started working for an insurance agency on James Island (Nationwide) and about 4 years after we moved to Walterboro, SC in 1995 I transferred to another Nationwide agency here. Then in 2001 I started working for the VA Medical Center in Charleston SC until I had to retire on disability in 2007 due to a car accident. We are still living in Walterboro and we will be celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary next April. Each August through December we spend at our camper in Ft Motte, SC for deer hunting season and bring our little dog Bubba and our cat Midnight here with us. Well, I think that's about as concise as I can make it to fill you in since graduation in 1977.".
