Winonah's Story
Ok, so I graduated in June 1988, then in December 1988 I went off to navy boot camp to join the Navy Reserve.
In March of 1991, I volunteered to get activated during Desert Storm.
I married my first husband in May 1991, and we wound up splitting up November 1998.
I was stationed on a ship in San Diego from 1991 to 1995, then at the Navy Hospital at Great Lakes from 1995 to 1998, then a Navy Construction Battalion (SeaBee, like the John Wayne movie but in color) in Mississi...Expand for more

I met my second husband in the battalion, and he didn't want me going to the Iraq or Afghan War, so he encouraged me to not re-enlist in 2003.
I married the second husband in 2004, and we are still married.
We got stationed out at Port Hueneme, CA Seabee Base in January 2005, and are still here.
I am currently attending University of Laverne (Full time) for a Bacholor's Degree in Business Management, as well as working full time for a defense contractor.
