Winston's Story
Life:
Renovated Old Victorian Mansions upon returning to Louisville, then sold them and held the mortgages,(Various other pieces of Real Estate) providing an early exit from the job market. Married to Dr. Elizabeth (Betty) Edwards who was the Director of Curriculum and Assessment Development for the Kentucky Dept. of Education. We met at the Jefferson Club in March, 1994.
Betty was leading delegations of distinguished educators from around the world to work with foreign governments both in her connection to the Eisenhauer People to People program and her role as CEO and Exective Director of The National Middle Schools Association (Russia, South Africa, and China) on school improvement, integration, and standards improvement.
Jim Price ( Trinity ) and I worked closely together to develop stock market and investment strategies in the early 80's and I became heavily involved in the equities investing market. I am still riding that horse, albeit a lot more cautiously now..

H.P. with the original factory side pipes.
When my wife took a position as Vice President of a company that develops school tests for many states throughout the country, we moved to New Hampshire for 4 years and I loved it. Live Free or Die .
I have retired to Orange Beach / Gulf Shores Alabama 3 times, the last being in May 2016 which turned out to be my 100th buy/sell/mortgage real estate deal. We keep a condo on Mockingbird Rd. in Louisville that we built out in April of 2014 for Elizabeth to be close to her family. I have one daughter from a previous marriage that lives in Arlington Va.
I have been self employed since Feb. 1984. I am an Independent Investment Management Professional.
Elizabeth, however, is a full time consultant for Special Olympics and is currently the Chair for the National Educators Leaders Network for the U.S. She was recently tapped by Justice Sandra Day O'connor to roll out her I-Civics platform. Unfortunately there were time constraints. She is the most achievement oriented person I have known, and the least outspoken about it.
I would not change a thing. Well, ....I might rearrange a few pages, as Stevie Nick's would say.
