Yvonne's Story
Life -
Some things never change....I live on Johns Island, about 200 yards from where I grew up on Belvedere Road(Remember RPM Gunshop??). I've traveled - lived in different cities and states - but I always seem to come back home to "The Island".
Some things will never be the same...Johns Island is a far cry from the dirt roads and rural landscape we enjoyed when we were growing up. I remember having to stop at Limehouse Bridge, waiting for a boat to pass, then crossing the bridge and having to wait at the railroad crossing for a train to go by. A distant...Expand for more
memory. There's an overpass over the railroad tracks now, and there are two fixed span bridges connecting the island to the rest of the world. Those bridges offer beautiful views of the waterways and marshes, but who has time to look?
Life goes on... I own 13 acres of land - enough room to enjoy my horses, view and feed lots of wildlife, and have some privacy. Always plenty of yard work to keep me busy! I also enjoy kayaking/fishing on the Edisto River in my spare time. I'm a legal secretary at Buist Moore Smythe McGee Law Firm in downtown Charleston.
