Zena's Story

Life Hey everyone! What have I done since ABHS? Well...went to school at MSU. Met people from all over the world. Decided that I needed to see other places...so studied...and traveled. Lived 1 year in the Middle East. (I speak a bit of Arabic) Went to Europe..and Latin America. Decided that my place was here in the US...in the Labor Movement....wanted to make a contribution to Trade Unions ..so Worked as a cleaner and baggage handler for Eastern Airlines in Miami, FL prior to the strike. Then became a rank and file leader of the strike in 1989...against Frank Lorenzo. ALthough it was not a total victory...it was an IM...Expand for more
PORTANT stalemate that had been wrested from the big money interests. Then went in to teaching. Was a H.S. science teacher in Miami for 6 years. (Nominated Science Teacher of the Year for Dade County....which I am sure brings a smile to the faces of those who were my classmates in Mr. Wisdom's class) Turned 40...had my mid life crisis...decided to go to law school. Just graduated. Was married for 15 years. Have two beuatiful children...one boy 21and a girl 14. Stay in contact with Lydia Vallecorse. Life is an adventure...and look forward to each new day... Would love to hear from any of you. Hope all are well.
