Aaron's Story

Hello EVERYONE!, I moved to WV in '06. I finally got married 5/3/08. Crystal and I have two sons and a little girl on the way. I have a fourteen year old son from a previous relationship! His name is Corey and he is a smart young man, like his father! I am quite proud of my young football star. I, of course, was an "all star" baseball player. To anyone who thought I would not amount to anything, You were quite wrong! I do very well. I became the Master of my own Destiny a long time ago. I do miss the good old days, but I would not change my life for any reason. I moved to WV for peace, quiet, hunting and freedom. Please feel free to contact me via America Online. It would be nice to hear from some of the old crew. I have edited my "story" as someone has misinterpreted some of my info. Feel free to send me a message to the hesman with aol and I will fill you in on the rest Aaron Hello Again- 3/14/13, Still in WV! Crystal and I have three children. Dalton-6, Colton-5, and Jasmine-3. Corey, now 18, lives in Delaware near his mother. I am now SVP of Field Operations at ARG, Inc. I was a Retail Consultant for 16 years before accepting this position. I hope everyone I knew from school and/or Delaware is doing well!!! It was definitely nice to hear from you!!! Anyone remember or hear from McHead? That is Jason McMinn for those of you who don't remember his nickname. I remember TWO separate occasions where Jason and I successfully eluded Mr. Cohee in the parking lot. It was GREAT! As Mr. Cohee walked around the lot, we carefully moved around Brian Heflin's (Boot) van so he would not see us!!! All this went on with an audience laughing and cheering from the loading docks- the same thing happened on different days! Almost sounds like something from "Fast Times At Ridgemont High", Dude! If you remember something funny or cool from back then, please respond to this posting!!!! Aaron Hester - "The Wild One" 11/21/20. Hello yet again, friends of yesteryear. I see some of you left a profile visit or sent me a note. Much appreciated! If you really want to reach me, my wife and I are on Facebook. AaronandCrystal Hester. Update on current affairs..... My son Corey was in the army for 6.5 years. He is now 26 years old! It seems like yesterday that I was attending JDHS. I am now a Senior Retail & Industrial Consultant for Tiger Group. I had the pleasure of being on 7th Avenue in Manhattan for business purposes when it was COVID Central for the US in the beginning of July.. I also had the pleasure of assessing damage to locations from the riots in Philadelphia during July and August. My work takes me from coast to coast. We also have offices in London, Sydney, LA, Boston, NYC, Germany, and a few other locations. Although I have a passport, I also have a family. I prefer to stay in the continental US. Life has been good to me thus far... I was lucky enough to find and marry a wonderful woman. We own three properties in WV, and three properties in Weeki Wachee, Florida, which one is currently a rental. We write off time when we want to stay. The rental is listed on VRBO-#714499. We will be putting a house on our second lot by the water shortly.- UPDATE- THE MANATEE HIDEAWAY II WAS COMPLETED AND LISTED JUNE OF 2022! VRBO #2897916. It is one house over from my current rental unit. The third property is at the end of the street, which will be the last to have a home placed on it. After growing up in Delaware, I always wanted a place on the water. Crystal grew up in Weeki Wachee, Florida- from 9-19 years old, Soooo getting the home and the other two properties in Weeki Wachee was a win-win! My wife has many fond memories of her years there with her father, who is no longer with us. Once we get the other house(s) completed, We will be able to have additional friends and family come down to hang out! We always have a full house when we stay! I will say that I have been "lucky.." Yes, I worked hard for what I have, but others I know from the past have not been so fortunate. Had I stayed on the path I chose in my youth, I am sure my life would be much different! Lastly, a moment to remember those friends from the past who are no longer with us.... My best friend in elementary school, Christopher Adam Wood. December of 2018. I would like to add that Chris and I reconnected on Classmates in 2008. It had been 12 years since I had seen him last. He was a good, loyal, and true friend. I/We will miss him and his inherent ability to cause us to smile. Kidney Disease- Renal Failure took him from us. Chris was such a good friend and guy, he di...Expand for more
dn't tell me the extent of his disease until not long before he passed. I know he didn't want to "burden" me with his condition, but it was no burden. He was my good friend... That is the kind of man Chris was .. He thought of others first, then himself. I can only wish to be as caring as he was... I miss you, brother! Jason McMinn (McHead) passed away in May of 2019. I tried to speak to him about how we are too old to live the lives we did in our teenage/young adult years. We all have a free will. Alas, HEROIN took Jason away from us. I NEVER touched the stuff myself. He developed this addiction after I moved from Pike Creek in the early 90s. As much as I tried, I could not save him from himself. All I know is that he was my friend, and THAT is all that matters! RIP, my friend. Shawn Klenk- lost his battle with Pancreatic cancer. July 2016. We shared many good times together in various locations around Delaware. We had a lot of fun and I remember all the "trouble" we caused back then! Glorious Days of Teenage Bliss! I have a story to share from over 35 years ago.... Since MJ is legal in Delaware now, this shouldn't matter to anyone reading it... One day, Shawn and I had to stay after school for nefarious reasons... The school guidance counselor, who will remain nameless, had to give us a ride home or we would be stuck there for awhile. Shawn had a fat bag of buds and we waiting for her to get done her work so we could leave. Sooo, we snuck out and burnt a huge joint on the steps behind the school. We left with her right after... She started going on about how she just wanted us to stay out of trouble, etc, etc. We couldn't help but laugh and laugh during her speech. Then, the subject turned to weed... The fun really started as we were quite stoned at the time... We kept laughing and finally she said "You two are stoned right now, aren't you, aren't you??? What is so funny? Why do you two keep laughing at everything? This is serious business! You are stoned aren't you, aren't you? "Man, we were laughing so hard it was difficult to breathe! Finally, after a few more "aren't yous, Shawn finally said, "Yep, we smoked a fat joint about twenty minutes ago! We are STONED!!!" We both erupted into a fit of laughter as she said... "I knew it, I knew it, you two snuck off to get stoned while I finished working! 😁👍😁👍! We laughed all the way to Shawn's house in Willow Run! Then some more after.... I haven't told that story in probably 25 years or more! It feels good to share that memory with all of you, especially any of you that knew both Shawn and I back then.... It was classic. I hope it brings a smile to your face reading it as it did to mine typing it! 😁 Chris Fowler- Heroin Overdose March 2020 Chris Walls- Cirrhosis of the liver November 2019. UPDATE BELOW- SPRING OF 2023 Brian (Boot) Heflin- 8/2017. Cause of his passing is unknown. . Stephanie Osbourne Jan 2018- Heroin Overdose Sean O'Leary- April 2016- Sean was a good friend.. We dubbed him with the "Jolly Joe" moniker because he always seemed to be happy and had a smile on his face. Cause of death unknown to me. RIP, MY FRIEND! Clarence Hobbs- this year- 2023. Clarence was a good dude.. I remember him helping work on my first car... There was a bunch of us! He was always good to me and a good dude. I have not gotten all of the details, but I heard it was drug related. A sad day.... I remember the time we shared together and the fun we had in our youth. I remember all of them as the boys they were, and the men they became. Rest In Peace, my friends! I will see you on the other side! Until then, I will always remember " The Glory Days" henceforth.....PEACE BE THE JOURNEY! THE JOURNEY OF LIFE! I have something else to add. My father passed away on 3/29/23. A sad day for our family and friends. A lot of people I know, some of whom have reached out to me and reconnected on this site, left some very nice condolences and reminded me of some things from my Dad that I remember with joy... For those of you that read this... THANKS Again! I am going to share with you what I wished for everyone who wrote to me, everyone I know, and everyone else... Here it is. My family and I thank all of you for your condolences. Writing about some of the good, fun times and hearing about some of your memories has helped to ease the pain a little. Here is my wish... I wish for all of you to cherish the time you have with your family, loved ones, and friends. Remember the good times and make an effort to make new memories! Life is short. Someday, those memories will be all you have left... Aaron
