Alan's Story
Born in Shanghai, China, then lived in Paris, France and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil before arriving in San Francisco. As an adult lived in Spain, Germany, Italy and Greece. Stationed in Thailand with the Air Force. Subsequently traveled throughout Europe, Canada and the U.S..
Accumulated progressively higher academic degrees culminating in the PhD. In between degrees went to war (Vietnam) with an Air Force commission. Got married, had a...Expand for more
son, got divorced. After "my" war, completed work on the doctorate, became a college professor to being a tenured professor of Political Science at the Univ. of Cincinnati. Got re-married, took an early retirement and went to live and travel in Europe. After several years of that, returned to the U.S. and had a house built in Laguna Beach, where I often sit on the deck and contemplate the horizon with my Welsh Terrier buddy, Laszlo.
