Alan's Story
Life:
I was born in Taunton, MA on 09/02/1950.
I attended Sacred Heart School from 1954 - 1964; Taunton High School from 1964 - 1968. I then tried out the Culinary Institute of America, but did not work out as a chef (not for everyone). I then spent the next three years in college, and gaining approximately two years of college credit at Bristol and Cape Cod Community Colleges. Thereafter, I moved to San Francisco, and finally finished college, the final two years, receiving a Bachelor of Public Administration, at the University of San Francisco.
Currently I reside in Taunton, and now a home owner, and after many years away; lived most of my adult life in Boston and San Francisco, always a city dweller. I have had four careers; banking, non-profit with a university, mental health, and 21 years with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts,...Expand for more
state employee, as an investigator, adjudicator, and currently claims examiner.
I'm gay, however, I do not have a significant other, or partner. If someone interesting, and who is goodlooking, in good shape, also healthy, and "definitely" employed, who happens along, or falls from the sky, I certainly won't mind.
Not sure what will happen with this; old friendships good, also new ones are welcome; as for what I can expect, I'm leaving all of this wide open. Life always surprises me.
Workplace:
I have had several careers: non-profit (mental health and higher education), retail, banking, and public sector working for state government. Currently working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Claims Examiner.
And, lastly, I would like to retire by the end of the next 8 years, by age 65, and start a business of my own.
