Alberta's Story
Life
I have 4 kids, 2 step-children and 17 grandchildren. The youngest grandkids are 8 year old twin boys. The eldest is a girl age 30, who is the mother of my two great-grandchild. My family is the delight of my life.
School
I started 1st grade (no Kindergarten for me) in Fort Lupton, went to Valverde for the 5th grade, then Franklin for the 6th, Baker for 7th-8th and West High until graduation. Was fairly quiet and didn't call much attention to myself. I was in Mr. Learned's Home room class at West.

n. Bell for about 3 years while, intermittenly, taking a few college courses. I quit Mtn. Bell to have a family and was a stay-at-home mom until my youngest started school. I began working at American parts, was there about 10 years, then was a church secretary and then went to Frederic Printer as a supervisor for about 12 years. I then started a business of my own as a personal assistant to stay-at-home moms helping them run errands that they didn't have time to do. I did that for about 15 years. I am retired but still work part time as a nanny to 5 year old twins and plan to continue doing that until they are old enough not to need supervision. (Am I nuts? Probably!) When they start school, I'll do an after school duty.
