Aleeah's Story
I've been married now for 36 years to the same wonderful man. We have 6 children, all boys and 10 grandchildren. My experiences have been vast, I've been a program coordinator at Purdue managing a 2 million dollar grant for Native American education, the Executive Director for the Indiana Native American Indian Affairs, a Retention Counselor at Purdue for Native American students at the Native American Educational Cultural Center, and currently the CEO of a family business; which happens to be one of my favorite positions since I am working with my family.

ending college following high school, I did so as a non-traditional student. If you want to achieve our potential we should never let age stand in our way. Personally, if I had lived closer to Indy, I would have much preferred to seek after a law degree. However, when you are a young mother sometimes you must make sacrifices, and I have no problem with that. To me it's all about family anyway, they are the reason I do what I do. Can you believe a Jeff Guidance Counselor actually told me that college wasn't for me, that I should go home and raise a family! The joke is on him because I did both!
