Alfonso's Story
August 2008
My mom was cleaning out her basement and brought me a box full of stuff. In it was my 86' yearbook. Brought back many memories. My wife had a chuckle looking at my old pics. Saw this website while I was looking at ESPN.com. So here I am .... here is my story:
I was born in a little log cabin and had to walk 5 miles through the snow to get to school ... just kidding.
After Lane, I went down to U of I Champ/Urbana, but missed Chicago so I transferred to UIC. Got my degree in Engineering there and went to work for a big oil company after that. Moved over to management with a big telco company a few years later and got into IT and business processes. Got an MBA from U of C and moved over to consulting. egy Consultant helping clients with anything from M&A, IT strategy, business processes, standing up new operations (like an office of innovation).
On the home front, have been very happily married for the past 10+ years and we are expecting our first. I am really looking forward to being a father. I love being an uncle and practicing on my my nieces and nephews.
I love the city, but we moved out to the boring (but safe) burbs. Go into the city at least a few times a month.
Got a great education at Ravenswood, Lane, UIC and University of Chicago. Lots of good times and good people.
Very very happy with the path I have taken and where it has led me. Just looking to hear from any old friends or acquaintances.
