Alice's Story
Life
Rodney and I have been married now for over twenty-six years. We live in Abilene, Texas. We have two children, Shelley and Johnathan. Both of whom have graduated from high school and are on their way. We have one granddaughter Serenity. Rodney is back doing one of the two things loves to do, working in construction and with produce. It would be nice to hear from you.
High School
I never really had a chance to fit in. I attended over seven different schools, from my freshman through first semester of my junior year. I attended schools as small as 200 student in total (K-12) to having over 850 student in the same grade level. So you can imagine my surprise when my aunt asked me to live with her. I took the opportunity and finished my high school years at Albany High School.. I do however have memories that I am very fond of. I was able to maintain several life long friendships.
College
I received my Associate of Arts from Weatherford College in 2008. I was active on campus in many ways; President of Phi Theta Kappa, Drama Club, Freshman Rep., & 1st. Vice President of Student Council, Coalition of Student Service Pro...Expand for more
viders and as a Student Ambassador. I have made the Weatherford College Dean's List, The National Dean's List, The Who's Who Among Community and Junior College Students two times, member of Phi Theta Kappa (International Honor Society for Junior and Community Colleges). I transferred to Texas Wesleyan in fall '08. I have been active on campus in many ways; President of the Texas Wesleyan University Phi Theta Kappa Alumni ('08-'11), Student Government Association-School of Education Representative ('08-"11), President-Mortar Board ('09-'10) member ('10-'11), Kappa Delta Pi-Treasurer ('10-'11) member ('09-'11), Student Educators Association-member ('08-'11), BESO-member ('08-'11), Circle K- member ('09-'11), Texas Wesleyan World of Leaders- member, and Student Marketing Intern for Aramark. I have made the Texas Wesleyan University Dean's List six times. I graduated in 2011, with a Bachelor's Degree of Science / EC-6th grade Generalist / ESL certification. I plan to continue my education until I have my Doctorate of Education. When I am finished I plan on being a teacher and maybe some day have a private school.
