alvin's Story
Since I was extremely shy and worked over 30 hours per week during high school, I missed out on friendships and activities. The money I earned for college was gone after the first year. I was able to complete 4 years of engineering school and earn a degree in electrical engineering from Indiana Tech with a loan and part time jobs. During this time I froze each of 4 winters and met my wife Linda. We were married a week after I graduated. I accepted an engineering job at Florida Power & Light in Miami. I was on track for a life long career at FPL. Our only child was born in Miami. I was a big winner in the first re-organization I experienced. I became Manager of Substation Engineering in 1991. in 1993, while I was enjoying the best lobster diving vacation with my son, Brent, the VP I worked for was having a disagreement with CEO. xperienced 3 tough years before we made a profit. During this time I did some expert witness work. Today, Linda and I are greatly blessed. Our business has been very successful. We have built our business based on biblical principles. We had our best year in 2016. We are on track for at least the same this year. Linda and I lead our business together every day. We weigh major decisions together and hold each other accountable to make sure we do the right thing. I enjoy going to work and I do not want to retire. I am working towards taking more time off for travel and mission work. Last year we went to Spain and Paris for 13 days. Our son owns the Redlight Redlight craft beer parlor in Orlando. Recently, Redlight Redlight was recommended in Rachael Ray's magazine and rated one of the top 30 craft beer parlor's in America. Linda and I have never been beer drinkers. We would never have predicted this. If you like craft beer, please try Redlight Redlight when in Orlando.
Update 2019: As evidenced by all of the complex processes at work in our world, it is obvious that we live in a carefully designed and created world. If it were not so everything would be the result of a random process. Please seriously consider the creator God shown to us in the Bible and what the New Testament says about life after death..
