Amber's Story

Life Colt and I married June 10th 2006. We also just bought a house November 1st, 06'. We have four kids a girl and 3 boys. We also have two dogs, a black lab, Shellie and a white lab, Molly. My husband owns a fencing business that he has worked at since he was able to walk. I work for a counseling company, I think it was what I was meant to do. We go camping every chance we get, but that hasn't been a whole lot lately:(.  I always wanted to be a Lawyer when I grew up, but I am glad that I didn't go in that field. My favorite way to blow off steam and relax is to sit in my room and work on things for the kids while I listen to my mp3. I also talk about whats going on with someone, then I will think about it while I clean my house. The wildest thing I ever did in school?....I am just going to leave it at that.If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have pen , paper, computer, and phone to be able to deal with the day-to-day.My inspiration comes from people like me that I see striving everyday to be better than they were the day before.I have lived most of my life in Lubbock, Tx. I moved to Utah with my family because we wanted to be closer to my grandparents. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Amie Guieterrez, because we were always best friends and we would do lots of things together. My daughter even called her aunt Amie.I dont really have an obsession with sports, my obsession is more with shopping. If I was to talk about a sport it would be hunting. I hunted for the first time in 2007 and got a deer with my bow. The most heart jumping experience I have ever had. I also love my dogs.My biggest surprise in life that has happened was that I have made it through th...Expand for more
ick and thin in my life struggles and I am still here and sane. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my kitchen and add on to it. My dream home would be on about 20 acres and quite a few rooms so we can foster kids. A farm with cows and chickens and the whole chabang. I have learned that if Im going to act a certain way I better be prepared for my kids to act that way too. If I won $100 million I would pay off all our bills and put the rest away for retirement.I am truley happy. I couldnt be happier. I have a wonderful husband and wonderful kids, they can be a handful at times but they are still good kids.My current age is 28. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old. I was so completely wrong. What I am working on now is getting a degree in psyc. I am woking for counseling professionals and loving it!What happened to my first crush? I couldnt really say its been so long.I share my home with four kids one husband and two dogs, which I find wonderful, keeps me on my toes.If I had one do-over what would I do diffferently? There isnt really anything I would do differently because your mistakes and triumps in life make you who you are today. If I did chose something though it would be to keep in contact with my Amie.In 10 years, I hope to be a LCSW among other things. I'm going to get there by I hope no longer than 10. "What about you would surprise everyone at your high school reunion?" The first thing that came to mind was that I dont "party" like I used to. My first job was at Albertsons, where I got paid very little to sack groceries. What I remember most about it is I didn't work there very long.. There are many memories from when I was young that I will never forget.
