Life I moved away to Michigan when I was 18...had to get away from my messed up family (Mom and step-dad) and start my life all over. I could go there...but I am not going to. Moving to Michigan was the best thing I could have done for myself. I was around my Dad's family (who I hadn't seen since I was three) but living by myself. Sure was hard but I did it! I graduated from highschool and went on to college all while working two jobs. Met some amazing friends who were very supportive. I love you Sue and Mike! I was able to see my Grandparents before they passed away. My grandparents hadn't seen me since I was three...and the look on their faces was priceless. I moved back to Maryland in 1997. I miss Michigan. But for me, it's best to visit where I lived in Michigan..not live there. Too cold and way too much snow! Maryland's winter has nothing on a Michigan winter! All you drivers that freak when you hear the word snow...please! Try driving home from work in a total white out...now that is a time to freak! I met my husband in 2003 while I was at a my favorite nightspot and he was working. He had noticed me for a while as I was there every weekend, but I never noticed him. C'mon, he was a cop! I was not into dating a cop! Then we hit it off and amazingly had so much in common. He was so supportive, helpful and understanding. One of the things we had in common was we both wanted children and for me to stay at home and raise them. How could I have gotten so lucky to find someone that would work his tail off just so I could stay at home and raise our children? So...here I am ....an at home mother...the hardest job in the world! I enjoy staying home and taking care of our three year old son (Tristan) and our one year old daughter (Milada). I know, Milada is a different name. We loved the meaning. Milada means "my love".
