Amy's Story
Life
My name is Amy. I live on the west coast of Canada. I reside with my life partner (together 15 years), my eleven-year old son, dog and two (mini-rex) bunnies. I also have three other wonderful children who live across the country ages: 18, 20, and 23. I am also soon to be a grandmother for the first time. Together, we make an a unique and blended family.
Career wise, I have been in working in academia for the past 15 years, filling various roles and responsibilities at various post-secondary institutions. In September, I will be starting my Doctorate of Education from Simon Fraser University. I graduated with my Master of Arts degree (Leadership and Training) from Royal Roads University, Post-Baccalaureate in Business Administration from BCOU, Provincial Instructors Diploma (Adult Education) from Vancouver Community College, Bachelor of Arts degree (Political Science and Administrative Studies) from the University of Winnipeg, and a Certificate in Commerce, Industry, Marke...Expand for more
ting and Sales from Red River College.
In addition to working full-time and doing my post-secondary studies, I am the owner and operator of two small consulting firms in the field of market research and the other is personal coaching. As well, I am avid researcher and writer. I am currently working on compilation of poetry: "Adventures of an Urban Coyote". My aim is to continue writing both fiction and non-fiction. I consider myself creative and am passionate about people, culture, diversity, etc.
I enjoy most outdoor activities that involve nature. I can often be found hiking, camping, swimming, kayaking, rafting, canoeing, cross-country skiing, and exploring nature with my family. I love animals and appreciate all the beauty Mother Nature has provided. In my spare time, which seems to be rare these days, I love to read philosophy, spiritual novels, history, biographies and mystery novels. I consider myself a very spiritual person and am always on a quest for higher awareness.
