I currently live in NW Indiana. I graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1970 and went on to graduate from the University of Iowa obtaining a BA and MA in Elementary Ed, with a concentration in Early Childhood. I was a Tri Delta at Iowa!! My senior year at Iowa,, I wrote an essay nominating my father for 1973 U of Iowa Dad of the Year... and he was selected!!!! He always said that was his greatest accomplishment. ❤️ My parents gave us the gift of travel and an extreme interest in American history. They took us to 49 of the 50 states ... How lucky we were. that our mother and father both passed away in 2015 after a well-lived life. They never wanted to live without each other. Mom was almost 90 and dad was 95. Never a day goes by that I don't miss them ... I lovingly worked for Davenport Public Schools from 1975 to 1987, at Buchanan Elem School. I was honored to teach many children in grades 1, 2, and 3. Yes, I hold a lifetime teaching license in the state of Iowa and a 10 year license to teach in Indiana. In 2005, I started working at Coldwell Banker, in Valparaiso, IN, writing narratives on multi-million dollar homes. By the end of 2006, I had acquired a Real Estate license in Indiana, but it has since expired. In 2008, I was an extra in the movie "Public Enemies". If you have never had the experience, for a 2 minute scene, we shot for 16 hours. That did not include costumes, hair, and makeup. Marion Cotillard stood outside in the cold and the extras thought she was a homeless bag lady - we'd never have recognized her ... I did meet, speak with, and had a photo taken with Johnny Depp. Channing Tatum sat directly in front of me in the theater scene, but was virtually an unknown ...at the time.
