Amy's Story
Life
I graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1998 with a bachelor degree in Dance Studies. I am the Assistant Director at Inertia the School of Dance, Inc. I used to teach Health and Women's Issues in Health at Ursuline Academy in Kirkwood from 1998-2005. I have been married for five years to Michael Gorman. My husband owns his own private practice physical therapy clinic called St. Louis Physical Therapy. He has two locations. One in Chesterfield Valley and the other in Olivette. We reside in St. Charles, MO with our first child Alyse, born in September of 2005 and our cocker-spaniel, Fosse who is 4 yrs. old.
School
One of my fondest memories was in Ms. Durso's lower geometry class when someone,I think it was Billy Reifschnieder, was pushing Brian Byrne on the heater by the window and the box fan fell two-stories. Billy ran down to get it before Ms. Durso came back but didn't make it in time. Here comes Billy through the door with eyes all popped ...Expand for more
out, jaw dropped open and Ms. Durso standing at her desk. I also remember being in the library with a class and Brian Montani and Nadeem Malik mooned Mrs. Glover's English class which was across the quad.
College
I majored in dance at SMSU and loved it. Before I went to SMSU I attended Flo Valley for two years. I loved being down at SMSU. I was taking all my major classes my time there. Nothing like dancing from 9am-10p. I made some great friends down there and enjoyed being on my own.
Workplace
I am the Asst. Director at Inertia the School of Dance, Inc. in O'Fallon, MO. I don't even think of it as a job sometimes because it is what I truely love to do. It is my passion in life. To see the joy on a child's face when they have mastered a new step or just performed on stage....it is truely worth it all. I am also a stay at home mom during the day for my daughter. LOVE being a mother!! No, I am not going to take after my mom and have 7 children 1 or 2 more will do it.
