Amy's Story
Life
I currently live in Monticello. After graduation I went to EKU, obtained a BA in Social Sciences and then started a career in Social Work with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. I love my job and more so now that I work with the Recruitment and Certification as well as the Permanency part of Social Work within the Cabinet. I have completed my Master's degree in Social Work. I have a 6 yr. old son, Jacob. He is so wonderful and I love being a mom! He will be in first grade and has a brother on the way (should be here in 9 weeks). see anyone from home. That is because I feel like I live in Somerset and other counties that I travel to. I work a lot of hours and travel a lot of miles so I hardly see home. But when I am at home, I enjoy decorating the house, cooking, and talking with my neighbors. I will be married 10 years this August, wow, I can't believe it.
Workplace
I work as a Social Worker for the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. I love it most days. In 2005, I received Staff Person of the Year Award for the state of Kentucky. I received the award for this honorable title in Frankfort, KY.
