Amy's Story
Life
My Spouse
Charles and I were high school sweethearts even though we broke up before my senior year. We got back together after I moved back to Memphis after attending college for three years. We just picked up where we had left off years earlier.
My Pets
We have two cats (they are litter mates) which my son received for his 12th birthday- he's now 14. Both are short-haired with one being a tabby striped kitten named Joby (our tomcat) and the other black as midnight named Pepper (our little girl who is a big talker and a "momma's girl").
My Kids
Our son, Christopher, goes by "Chris" and is a soccer fanatic who has become quite a percussionist in recent years. He started playing in 5th grade and has now worked his way up to playing the trap set in Jazz Band at school. He also loves video games and currently has a GameCube, N64, Gameboy, Sega, and Computer.
My Job
I have had several career changes since high. I started out as a disc jockey for a commercial radio station in...Expand for more
Murray, Kentucky (WAAW-FM) while I was attending college. When I returned to Memphis after college, I worked at UT-Memphis in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology where I worked my way up to Office Manager. When Chris was born, I chose to work part-time as a legal secretary for several years. Then, one day my brother-in-law asked me if I had ever considered building tires for a living and, of course, I laughed. I never dreamed they would hire someone with so little mechanical knowledge to perform a highly skilled job. So I applied almost as an afterthought, and here I am now making tire components for semi-tractor trailer tires at Bridgestone. What a hoot!
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Derek Fort, because I lost track of him back in 1977. He had planned to come and visit me at college in Murray, Kentucky. He never showed up and I never heard from him again. Have always wondered what happened..
I love the shows on USA: Monk, House and Psych
