Whoever would have thought I would wind up here today. Graduating from HSEP I thought I would go into Ag Engineering, that lasted about 1 1/2 semesters, then I joioned the Army. Communications Specialist in Languages (yes I still love to talk!!). Went on to work for my parents in there mailbox store while I went to school to get into EMS. Drove ambulances for awhile as well as dispatching for a sheriff's department, hence where I came up with my motto of no cops no paramedics and no fireman!!!! But, I got better. Put my self through LVN school by working Friday from 5p until Monday at 5a on an ambulance and going to school during the week. No hard work goes unpunished. ambulance and now was teaching EMS at the basic and Intermediate levels. I loved it!!! Then met husband number 2, remember the whole no paramedic thing? He passed away shortly after taking everything while I was at work but I am over the bitterness now. I eventually wound up working in a level one trauma center as an LVN, convinced myself to go back to school so I could actually get paid for all the work I was doing and well here I am. I am now an RN working in a level 3 trauma center as the night charge nurse. Funny, they let me be the responsible adult. But, I love my job. Took me 19 years from graduating HSEP along with a few jobs I won't talk about and the loss of my mother and losing touch of some friends that I still think of today and pray that they found happiness.
