Andrea's Story
After I left Riverdale I went to Word of Life Bible Institute. I met my husband to be there. He says he was there to find a wife...well it worked! Anyway, after I went there for a year I came back home, well home had moved, to Stuarts Draft, VA...a tiny, tiny, tiny little town in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. When my parents told me they were moving here I tole them I would NEVER live there. Well, never say never, after Word of Life I came here to live and went to Dominion Business School (which is no longer in business...oh well) and got a degree as a Medical Office Assistant. After that I moved to Vermont where my husband to be was and lived with his parents for 6 months before I got married. We lived in NH for 6 months until the building industry pretty much shut down and since my husband is a framer we moved back to Stuarts Draft, VA where I swore I would NEVER live. Jokes on me! ived in this little town or around it for 19 1/2 of them! We have 4 boys...17, 16, 13, 10...my oldest just graduated. I CANNOT be this old! I REFUSE to get old...I am fighting it kicking and screaming. It's a good thing I am not in high school now cuz I would be in sooooo much trouble... HA Ha! My 16 year old niece is living with us now...so I have 5 kids. wow! I can't believe that I am responsible for the lives of 5 kids....I can't even take care of myself!!!! :) I am working at a construction company as a "paper shuffler" ha...really...I do accounts payable for 2 of the companies owned by a friend of mine. One is a construction company the other is an excavating company. Remember I have a degree as a medical office assistant...go figure...how did I end up in accounts payable...I don't know! I also deal with the subcontractors and write there contracts and pay them. One thing I can say is....It's NEVER boring! Sometimes I wish it was!
