Andrea's Story
Life
I've been married since 1986 and have been living in San Francisco since 1980. I still play the violin. I have two kids: a boy born in 1988 (at this writing he is 19 and a sophomore at Pomona College in Claremont, CA) and a daughter who was born in 1993, a lovely and easy-going young lady. We have two dogs and 3 fish, down from two dogs, a cat, a lizard and a fish. I don't work now. I studied photography at the Academy of Art College part-time until my daughter was born. College
I spent my freshman year at the University of Bridgeport, home of P.T. Barnum who famously said "There's a sucker born every minute". My Broadcast/Journalism major there was a joke, as was the rest of the school, the only saving grace being my involvement with the orchestra there and also playing for another university orchestra nearby. I hightailed it out of there and spent my final three years at the University of Rochester as an English major. I also studied with grad students at the Eastman School of Music and played in a great orchestra there.
