Andrew's Story
Life
My biggest accomplishment is, I was ordained as a non-denominational minister May 18,2003, and am very happy with how that is going. God has blessed me with two wonderful daughters, a loving wife, and now a son-in-law (As of Aug 2006)..Have worked for major retail chain for 12 yrs and will likely spend the rest of my life there unless some of you would like to contribute to my ministry. hmmm. classmates made me take out my ministry web page.
New news, am now also working as a custodian at local school (where my youngest daughter is attending classes) as well as spending almost all my free time volunteering in various areas (the school is my main area though love working with the kids).
Well that about sums it up as of Spring 2007.
Fall of 2009 update:
Things have really changed for me in the last year and a half;I have left the retail chain after 13 yrs and gone full time with the schools, I am now the Assistant F.M. (Facilities Manager)*that is I am the night boss custodian at an Elementary School, I still spend almost every day as a "parent volunteer" at my daughter's school and with other projects.
Winter 2010,
Not much has changed since my last visit, except my baby is now in middle school. Still doing the volunteer bit at her old elementary school but on a much reduced level.
The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, Amen
Andrew
Well here it is Fall of 2013;
Had a falling out with the school district and no have nothing to do with them any more except to see my daughter off to her first year in high school. I have joined the ranks of the millions of unemployed in this country. Started college finally in the fall of 2011, going for my Bachelors degree in Christian Studies and surprisingly keeping a 3.25 GPA (it was 4.0 for my Freshman and Sophomore years, but I failed a couple of classes this year and it dropp...Expand for more
ed me down a bit). If all stays on track from here on, I should be graduating in early 2015.
School
I won't embarrass the girls that I had crushes on in high school here, I couldn't tell them then and I see no need to tell them now, I'll just let them all keep wondering (and the rest of you too).
I was most inspired by Mr Sandy Keys (Current Events Senior year)Mr. Hudiburg (Biology Sophmore year)and Mr Rimov (Science Freshman year).
As to funniest, happiest or craziest school memories...
The fact that I was able to graduate would be covered under all of those, and if it hadn't been a Public School I could admit that it was probably by the Grace of God alone that I made it through.
Thank you all for going through it with me, I still look though my year books so I don't forget what you all look(ed) like and to see if my memory of your faces matches the pictures.
May God continue to bless you all.
College: Grand Canyon University online Bachelor program in Christian Studies
Workplace: Currently none :(
Most recently I spent 7 years as custodian at a public school,
Was with Target Corporation for 13 years, before that was with a major restaraunt chain that was famous for their "Hot Wings" (no really they were) for 4 years, before then I had never held a job outside of the Army for more than a few months and most not even that long.
Military
After basic at Ft Benning, GA was assigned to The Old Gaurd in Ft Myer,VA where I was promptly put on medical hold due to passing out in formation on multiple occasions, it turns out I can't handle heat, they told me I was being transfered and when they asked me where I would like to go, I said Alaska, Their responce? Enjoy Hawaii. Not long after I got there I was again put on medical hold until my discharge in March of 87. I wish I had been smart enough to find a way to stay in, but such is life.
