Andrew's Story
Life
Ever figure out where you made your biggest mistake only after years of hindsight? Oct. 12, 1996. I got married. Separated in August 2001. 'Nuff said. Nevertheless, I did get two great kids out of the deal. Only wish I could see them more.
College
College was brief both times. In '88, I began studying journalism at Slumber Cottage...um...I mean Humber College. However, I already had some experience having worked (right off the street) with the Orangeville Citizen. When a friend who graduated in '89 suggested I go after a job she'd turned down, I figured what the heck. And I got it. Never finished my journalism diploma but what the heck. Now that I've been in the biz 20 years, I've realized most publishers think we're just a bunch of monkeys banging our hands at keyboards.

o a brief stint between jobs and at a turning point in my life in '02/'03. Two year marketing program but had to go to work after one. Child support costs were piling up. Sez la vie and back to work.
Workplace
Ah, my career! Truly a love/hate relationship that borders on contempt and feigned indifference, interspersed with actual moments of enjoyment. The latest stop on my career arc has me with a company that has actually allowed me travel opportunities I've not had with any other company - unless one thinks Timmins compares in any way to New York, Vancouver, Las Vegas, Orlando or even Madison. Actually, now that I think of it, I could draw parallels between Edmonton and Timmins, but that's another day.
The one thing that keeps me interested is, I can't wait to see what's next.
