Angela's Story
Workplace
After graduating from Chico State, I spent a year at Cal State Hayward, getting my Bilingual Teaching Credential. I then taught a K/1 bilingual class in Oakland. After a crazy year, complete with a five-week teacher's strike, I moved back up to Chico to teach in Corning. I spent three years there, teaching second and third grades, as well as English to adults two nights a week. I then moved to Calistoga. in Santa Rosa for just one year, I took a job with my current company, working as a trainer and consultant. I spent the first two years working with schools in CA, OR, WA & ID. In the summer of 2002, I transferred to Dallas, TX. For the past two years, I've trained/consulted schools in TX & LA. I joined the management team and relocated in 2004, to Providence, RI where I manage a team of trainers in CT. It's been a fun job, with tons of opportunity to travel!
